“For a take-out sandwich, I also recommend The Pickle Barrel (133 Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach, 1-305-427-0650). The pastrami and corned beef there come from New York (via Miami), and it’s where my New York deli memories are invariably rekindled. It claims to sell “the world’s largest sandwiches” (there’s about a half pound of meat in each) priced at $4.95. You can also buy the meat by the pound for $9.95.
